Future policymakers and global citizens who know how to code
Made for anyone who wants to learn more about digitalization in Africa, this website was created by future policymakers as part of the Programming and Data for Policymakers class at Harvard Kennedy School. You can learn more about why programming and data processing are becoming essential skills for future policymakers at our Harvard Kennedy School website and check out the course content at our Github course page!
In this class, we learned to appreciate multiple computer languages, including python, javascript, and html. We also learned to use d3 for data visualization. None of us have had a significant coding experience before this class, so we are quite proud of ourselves for being able to create this website.
In the process of working together, we also learned to apply Agile project management so that we could work together more efficiently and effectively. We are looking forward to applying our new skills in agile project management to our future work in government, academia and beyond.
Special thanks to Professor Dhrumil Mehta and TA Sultan Orazbayev for all your help!
